The International Conference on Additive Manufacturing & 3D Printing is now established as one of the world’s leading knowledge transfer and networking events focused solely on the production of end-use components using additive 'layer-based' technologies. The conference includes invited academic and industrial speakers from around the world, discussing topics such as AM process and materials development, business & retail strategy for AM products, supply chain management and process modelling developments. The conference is regularly attended by over 200 delegates from around the world, representing some of the world’s most innovative companies and brands. To enhance the delegate experience, a parallel technology and material vendor's exhibition is held alongside the conference, where industrialists, academics and vendors are encouraged to network. The event is hosted by the Additive Manufacturing & 3D Printing Research Group (3DPRG) which is based at Nottingham University and jointly organised in conjunction with Additive Manufacturing consultancy Econolyst Ltd. The conference takes place at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel, which is situated just a short distance from Nottingham City Centre and is easily accessible from junction 26 of the M1 motorway. This venue offers high quality conference facilities and four star accommodation all under one roof. The conference also plays host to the ASTM F42 International Standards Group, which is working on the development of dedicated standards for the AM sector. This meeting is open to all conference delegates free of charge.

Elizabeth Tsai will represent the Mediated Matter group by presenting a recent paper entitled: 4D Printing - Towards Biomimetic Additive Manufacturing.
