About

Sunanda Sharma is a Research Assistant in the Mediated Matter Group, focusing on synthetic biology as it applies to design. She graduated with a degree in biology and concentration in psychology from MIT in 2014, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Media Arts and Sciences. Her goal is to explore the capabilities of engineered biological systems for creating highly sensitive and adaptable wearable devices, as well as aesthetically beautiful and functional products.
