About

Yoav Sterman is an industrial and interaction designer. In his research at the Mediated Matter group Yoav proposed a new approach for designing and manufacturing electronic products called PCB Origami. This method suggests a new form factor and user experience for electronic products, derived by digital fabrication of foldable electronics. In addition, Yoav explored different alternatives of low-resolution, furniture- scale 3D printing. Yoav graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem in 2005. After his graduation he worked as a designer and as a director of industrial design. Yoav won on the Red Dot Design Award in 2009 and his work was presented in "Dream Makers: Design Meets Technology" at The Israel Museum in Jerusalem. He is currently part of Nike Digital Studio, where product design and innovation teams bring new products to life.
